More Twig Santa

I whittled another Twig Santa while waiting for my wife have a medical check up at Northshore University Hospital. I set up a folding chair in front of my car at the parking lot and whittled a branch I keep at the trunk compartment. I have just finished the face of the Twig Santa when my wife called me on the phone to say she's done with the check up. Nothing beats whittling to while your time away.

These two have robes painted red.

NERRY CHRISTMAS to all!

That's all folks! Thanks for reading.

Twig Santa

With Christmas just around the corner, I decided to whittle a Santa Claus.

This Santa is about 4 inches tall and 1 inch in diameter whittled from a twig I found during my early morning walk in the park.

Advanced Merry Christmas to everyone!

Wooden Hearts

Sleep was quite elusive last night so although it's not Valentine's Day, I opted to whittle a heart rather than stare at the ceiling till the wee hours of the morning

The stained heart I did a long time ago and serves as a model.

Whittled 3 more hearts before I finally doze off. Good night.

That's all folks! Thanks for reading.

Duck's Legs

After a couple of years, I finally gave legs to the duck I whittled.

I used a gauge 16 bronze wire I bought from the craft section at Walmart. I think the duck is happy.

That's all folks! Thanks for reading.

Oriole

Oriole is Kilyawan in our Tagalog language. It is my favorite bird and one that I remember seeing during my younger days in the province where I grew up. I vaguely remember exactly how an Oriole look like but I know they have yellow feathers. Sadly, they're all gone now. All that's left are the house finch or Tarat. Even the Mayas are seldom seen anymore.

Whittled from a Willow twig 2 years ago.

Finally painted and mounted on a tree branch.

That's all folks! Thanks for reading.
